Some more good news I just wanted to share with you today. Evenbreak are a National Business Awards Finalist for the “Social Enterprise of the Year” award!
We share this category with some really big names like Global Action Plan and Give as you Live, so it’s quite an achievement. The overall winner will be announced at the National Business Awards gala dinner at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on 11th November.
Katy Jones, Director, Financial Advisory & Capital, ClearlySo who was a shortlist judge for the category said: “Evenbreak has achieved dramatic growth and a meaningful impact on the lives of many disabled people, with this young social enterprise more than holding its own against more established entrants in this category.”
Visit www.nationalbusinessawards.co.uk for a full list of all finalists.
We are, of course, thrilled to have reached this stage, and it is thanks to the hard work of our wonderful team – Lewis, Tirath and Jane, and our Patron Francesca, and to the the fantastic employers who support us, and the amazing candidates who engage with us.
It’s also great to demonstrate that it is more than possible for a business to succeed which:
- Is solely staffed by disabled people;
- Pays at least the living wage to all employees;
- Isn’t motivated by profit.
Good luck to all the other finalists, and thank you to all of our supporters!
