The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) has become the latest employer to partner with Evenbreak, to attract disabled candidates to their job vacancies.
BEIS roles will be advertised using the social enterprise, which is run by and for disabled people, to reach out to a wider field of candidates and to be more inclusive.
The government department is already signed up for the Disability Confident Scheme (DCS) and provides suitable workplace adjustments that enable disabled people to access work.
Jas Roopra, Human Resources Deputy Director for Capability, Skills and Talent from BEIS said: “We are pleased to partner with Evenbreak. As a Disability Confident Leader, we are fully committed to supporting people with disabilities and long-term conditions to realise their potential in BEIS.’
Jane Hatton, founder and CEO of Evenbreak, said: “We are delighted that BEIS has joined the Evenbreak family of inclusive employers and very happy for them to be leading by example. The government should be leading the way on disability inclusion, and this is a large step towards that ambition.”
Meet the Employer Event with BEIS
Disabled candidates keen to join BEIS are being invited to an online ‘Meet the Employer’ event on Thursday, 19 January 2023. Register to join the event with BEIS.
