Josh is the Candidates and Partnerships Coordinator here at Evenbreak. It’s a long title but it essentially means that the core part of his role is to run The Hive website; he uses it to help signpost candidates who contact us to organisations that can support them on their employment journey. He is also responsible for adding the new wonderful services that we collaborate with. This is to ensure that our candidates have a wide range of services that may help them.
“I love the fact that I can help people, it’s something that drives me as a person, and I get to achieve this every day.”
Josh used to work at a SEN Primary School in Peckham and so it’s safe to say he “adores” his work focused on D&I and supporting people. However, despite his love for this job, he knew it was time for a new challenge. After a year of rejections, some doubts (from himself, but also, employers) until I got offered the job at Evenbreak. (Those employer’s losses is Evenbreak’s gain)!
“Evenbreak lets me well… be me and that’s a cool thing to have at work! I’ve joined at a very exciting time with multiple projects on the horizon and I’m just excited to be a part of what is to come!”
Josh loves football (however he says, “supporting West Ham normally has me debating my love for it around 5.30pm on a Saturday most weeks”). He is also a massive American Football supporter, and he got to watch his favourite team the Green Bay Packers in London last year…unfortunately they lost. It’s a sport he got to play at university and fell in love with because of his other love of binge-watching shows. Josh has also set himself a goal in 2023 of trying new activities like taking a pottery class, travelling to new places and trying to read more…so stay tuned for that.

Josh has a stutter or stammer, whichever is your preference. Put simply, it takes him longer to form sounds and words. It certainly doesn’t prevent him from achieving anything he wants though.
“Yeah, fair enough there are aspects might take a bit longer but it’s all about the finishing line anyway.”
