We invite employers who advertise job vacancies on Evenbreak to tell us what diversity and inclusion looks like at their organisation. This week, we want to introduce you to TFG London…
About TFG London
TFG London is part of The Foschini Group Limited (TFG), a leading South African retail business. TFG entered the UK market in 2015 with the acquisition of Phase Eight and we have now added Whistles and Hobbs to our impressive portfolio of the most successful, premium womenswear brands in the UK.

Why is it important to your company to employ disabled people?
At TFG London and across all our brands we are committed to creating an inclusive culture that welcomes, develops and celebrates a diversity of backgrounds, experiences, cultural references and ideas and opinions within our business. We are working together to ensure our environment is one where difference is not only respected but encouraged and celebrated so everyone can reach their full potential.
Have you got any other Inclusive Recruitment Processes?
As part of our Inclusion and Diversity strategy, we anonymise all CVs for hiring managers, removing the possibility of unconscious bias and promoting inclusive hiring.
We are also proud to partner with Evenbreak and ensure that all their resources are used effectively to create equal access for any person with a disability.
If you require any reasonable adjustments throughout the recruitment process, please reach out to our Talent Team at TFGLondonTalentAcquisition@tfg-brands.co.uk
Do you offer flexible working?
We offer a hybrid working approach across our roles in our central teams where colleagues can work between home and the office. We will also consider any reasonable workplace accommodations to ensure you are set up for success to effectively deliver your role. The majority of our retail roles are store based.
What else do you offer disabled employees?
AT TFG we recognise the benefits of an inclusive and diverse workforce and support our disabled employees in all areas of work including taking steps to prevent disability discrimination that does not exclude disabled people eg. reasonable adjustments, support with mental health conditions, making the workplace accessible and a partnership with the Retail Trust.
In addition, as part of our Inclusion and Diversity strategy, we have an I&D Board that meet monthly and also in-brand working groups that we actively encourage all colleagues to be a part of so we can capture as much diversity of thought, feedback and new ideas as possible.
Have you been recognised for inclusion?
We are proud to be recognised as a Disability Confident Committed employer and an active participant and signatory to the British Retail Consortium (BRC) Disability Charter.
In a nutshell, why should a disabled candidate choose to apply to your company?
We love to see the amazing value that happens when people can bring their authentic, unique selves to work, where their contribution is valued, ability enhanced, and perspective appreciated.
We still have work to do in this area, but we are dedicated to improving accessibility and promoting inclusive hiring across our whole business.
