We invite the employers who advertise their vacancies on Evenbreak to share how they’re making inclusion a reality in their workplaces. This week, we’re proud to spotlight Criteo, a global tech company that’s not just talking about accessibility and diversity – they’re living it. From inclusive hiring practices to support initiatives, Criteo is showing what it truly means to create a workplace where everyone is included.
About Criteo
Criteo are a global technology company that enables marketers and media owners to drive better commerce outcomes through our world-leading Commerce Media Platform. They operate in commerce media, the future of digital advertising leveraging commerce data and artificial intelligence to connect ecommerce, digital marketing and media monetisation, and best engage consumers throughout their shopping journey.
1. Why is it important to Criteo to employ disabled people?
At Criteo, we know that true innovation starts with inclusion
That’s why we’re committed to welcoming all talent – including people with disabilities. Hiring individuals/people with lived experience of disability isn’t just the right thing to do – it’s a strategic advantage.
Diverse teams think differently
They bring fresh perspectives that spark creativity, drive smarter decisions, and fuel better business outcomes. By actively recruiting individuals/people with lived experience of disability, we widen our lens and tap into a wealth of skills, experiences, and insights we might otherwise miss. That’s not just inclusive – that’s future-focused.
Inclusion is how we build strong, collaborative teams
When every employee feels respected, valued, and empowered – regardless of whether they are disabled – we create a workplace where everyone has the chance to thrive. And that impact goes far beyond our walls. It deepens our connection to our clients, our partners, and the communities we serve. At Criteo, we’re breaking down barriers to build up potential. Because an accessible, equitable workplace isn’t just better for people – it’s better for business.
2. Have you got any other Inclusive Recruitment Processes?
We’re committed to building a workplace where everyone, including disabled talent, has equal opportunities to thrive.
Diversity fuels innovation
That’s why we’re not just talking about inclusion – we’re actively making it happen.
We participate in dedicated inclusion job fairs like Entreprises Handiaccueillantes in France, where we connect with talented professionals and demonstrate our commitment to creating a truly diverse workforce.
We’re also investing in the tools that drive real change.
- Our Voluntary Disclosure Dashboard tracks applications from disabled candidates and monitors their journey through the hiring process – so we can identify gaps and continuously improve.
- We’ve enhanced our Recruiter Screen Questionnaire, allowing candidates to request the accommodations they need, starting from the interview and continuing through onboarding.
But it doesn’t stop there.
We equip our Talent Acquisition team with Disability Inclusion Training that goes beyond the basics. It covers different types of disabilities, international legal frameworks, and how to implement reasonable adjustments throughout recruitment, with empathy and care.
And we’re not done.
In 2025, we’re doubling down – exploring new ways to make every step of the candidate experience more inclusive, more accessible, and more human.
Because inclusion isn’t just a goal – it’s a mindset.
And when we embed it into every part of our process, we don’t just build stronger teams – we build a better future.
3. Do you offer flexible working?
At Criteo, we believe in empowering our employees and managers with the flexibility to create the day to day that supports their job requirements, lifestyle and enhances productivity.
We know that there are thousands of ways of working and everyone works differently, which is why we believe that results matter more than the place where the actual work gets done. This innovative approach to work combines opportunities to choose your work environment and supports a dynamic office culture.
4. What else do you offer disabled employees?
At Criteo, inclusion is more than a value – it’s a commitment. We strive to ensure that all employees, including disabled employees, have equal access to opportunities, support, and a workplace where they can thrive.
To reinforce this, we’ve implemented several key initiatives:
- Global Disability Policy – Our formal commitment to ensuring equal access and participation for people with all types of disabilities, treating everyone with dignity and respect
- Critenable Community – A dedicated Criteo Cares community where disabled employees and their allies can connect, share experiences, and drive positive change toward a more accessible world
- Disability Referents – A network of dedicated Criteos who provide guidance, information, and support to our France-based disabled employees.
- Disability Awareness Training – Designed to provide all Criteo employees with essential knowledge about disabilities, breaking down barriers and fostering inclusivity
- Employee Assistance Program (EAP) – A confidential service offering mental health and daily life support for employees and their families
- Mental Health First Aiders – Trained Criteo employees who serve as a first point of contact for colleagues experiencing mental health challenges or emotional distress
- Headspace App – A meditation and mindfulness resource available to all Criteos to support mental well-being.
And we’re always looking to do more. Our goal is to create an environment where every employee, regardless of whether they are disabled – feels supported, valued, and empowered to succeed. If you have ideas or needs we haven’t addressed yet, we’d love to hear them!
5. Have you been recognised for inclusion?
In 2024, our efforts were recognised with several prestigious awards, including the Diversity in Tech Award for Disability Inclusion, the Women in Tech Global Award for Diversity and Inclusion Employer of the Year, and Ragan’s CSR & Diversity Award for Global Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Commitment. We also received an honourable mention for Employee Resource Groups and Event.
While these awards reflect our progress, we know that inclusion is an ongoing journey. We remain committed to listening, learning, and taking meaningful action to ensure Criteo continues to be a more accessible and inclusive workplace for all. Recognition is important, but what truly matters is the impact we have on our people. If there are more ways we can support diverse talents, we are always open to new ideas.
6. In a nutshell, why should a disabled candidate choose to apply to your company?
At Criteo, diversity isn’t just something we embrace – it’s something we champion. If you’re a disabled candidate, know this: your skills, experiences, and perspective aren’t just welcome here—they’re valued. From your first interaction with us, we’re committed to making the journey inclusive. We offer reasonable accommodations at every stage of the hiring process, ensuring accessibility isn’t a barrier to opportunity.
Once you’re here, you won’t be navigating alone.
