To find out more about Stan H, we asked him a few questions…

What would be your dream role?
The best way to describe it is being a ‘strategic value creator’ – where I can help the organisation have a positive economic AND social impact. My happy space would be to work with executives to help create their future; a future that actually makes some impact in the world, through what they do.
What do people you’ve worked with or volunteered with say about you?
They would say I’m a real strategic partner – a change agent and a strategic thinker who implements. I get projects completed on time and within budget!
What are you particularly proud of?
Some of the moments that have been most special for me have been being involved at the highest level of government, in a post-apartheid South Africa, in the initial period of change and transformation, in helping implement change through organisational improvement.
Can you tell us something not many people would know about you?
For my birthday, my family got me a favourite photo of the family converted into a painting. You paint it; it’s been broken down into minute little segments, with the colour palette – eventually you end up with this beautiful picture that I’m kind of wading through quite carefully. I’m enjoying it but it’s quite challenging!
What’s your disability?
I have a hearing disability and wear hearing aids.
