Evenbreak was recognised amongst global organisations, corporate executives, financial institutions, and British music icon Beverley Knight MBE at the 2024 European Diversity Awards.
Sponsored by Optum, the ceremony was hosted by Sky News presenters Kamali Melbourne and Gillian Joseph at the luxurious InterContinental London Park Lane.

The awards honour champions of diversity and inclusion across various areas, including age, disability, gender, marital status, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, social mobility, and sexual orientation.
Evenbreak earned the distinguished Optum Charity or Not-For-Profit of the Year award for its efforts in creating accessible employment opportunities for disabled individuals. The organisation also received a £5,000 donation from Optum.
Adam Hyland, Chief Inclusion Officer at Evenbreak, said: “Winning the Not-For-Profit of the Year award is an incredible honour for Evenbreak. This recognition celebrates our commitment to breaking down employment barriers for the disabled community at an international level and reinforces the importance of inclusive workplaces. We are really appreciative for the £5,000 donation from Optum, which will help us continue enabling talented disabled candidates to find meaningful work and thrive.”

The night’s most eagerly anticipated award, for Outstanding Commitment to Diversity, was presented to British music icon Beverley Knight MBE in recognition of her remarkable advocacy for equality, social justice, and inclusion.
Linda Riley, European Diversity Awards founder, said: “These awards are all about recognising the people who’ve gone above and beyond to champion diversity and inclusion, inspiring others to get involved too. The organisations and leaders we’re celebrating tonight show just how much effort is going into making workplaces more inclusive and truly living out those values. Together, we’re making a real difference.”
Optum commented: “We are deeply honoured to be included in the European Diversity Awards. Advancing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is central to our mission of helping people live healthier lives and making the health system work better for everyone. Congratulations, on behalf of UnitedHealth Group, to all our winners!”
