In a competitive job market, finding inclusive opportunities can feel daunting. That’s where Evenbreak, the global disability job board, comes in. By creating an Evenbreak User account, you’ll unlock tailored career resources designed for Disabled, Deaf, and Neurodiverse candidates. This guide will show you how to create a standout profile, update your CV, set up job alerts, and match with inclusive employers. Let’s start your journey toward meaningful and accessible employment.

Profile Creation
Creating and managing your profile is simple and free. You can upload your CV and other supporting documents, and you’ll have the flexibility to make your profile visible or hidden, even on a per-employer basis. To get started, sign in or create an account.
We strongly recommend fully completing your profile, as it streamlines the application process and unlocks additional benefits – read on to learn more.
When creating or updating your profile for the first time, you’ll be asked to confirm that you have lived experience of disability. No specific details are required, and this information is not shared with employers. However, as Evenbreak is exclusively for Disabled, Deaf, and Neurodiverse candidates seeking new or better opportunities, this step ensures clarity about who our roles are intended to support.
Updating Your CV
Upload your CV to have it ready for when you find a role you want to apply for. If you choose to make your CV visible, inclusive employers can also discover your profile and assess whether they have a role that matches your skills and experience.
There are many ways to format a CV, and while there’s no single “right” approach, a clear and concise Word document that highlights your key career achievements and skills is an excellent starting point.
Here are a few key pointers:
- Keep it concise (ideally 1-2 pages)
- Have an opening summary paragraph on who you are, what you can bring, and what you’re looking for
- List any qualifications as well as key skills
- State your work experience in chronological order. If you have a gap in your CV due to medical reasons or caring for yourself or someone else, that’s ok.
- And finally, check your spelling and grammar.
Further Tip: If you are looking to relocate to a specific country for a role, make sure to state this in your Profile. Additionally, make sure you have a copy of your CV translated into the corresponding language as that will help recruiters there find and read your CV (they might not speak your language or at least not as well as you do).

Job Alerts
Job alerts are notifications triggered when new job postings match a candidate’s predefined criteria. By setting up job alerts, you can receive updates directly via email, making it easier to act quickly on inclusive jobs that catch your attention.
There are many benefits of using job alerts, such as time management and access to remote opportunities. Read more about why job alerts are beneficial.
By setting filters, you can personalise job alerts based on your preferences, skills, and location. For example, “graduate”, “part-time”, or “remote”.

Profile Matching
Our Talent Match Manager will search the candidate database looking for skills and profiles that match the roles specified by employers. The more information existing on your profile, the more likely we are to find it in a search.
We can then highlight your profile to an employer for consideration, improving your chances of finding an inclusive job. Find out more about Evenbreak Talent Match.
Potential Star
If we come across your profile and think it shows “star” potential but could be formatted differently, we might contact you directly to make some suggestions and to signpost you to other Evenbreak resources. We might also contact you if we have a question from a client about your profile or to flag specific client roles so you can apply directly.
You are ultimately responsible for the information you provide and for being proactive in your job search. We aim to support you with a variety of job-hunting strategies to enhance your chances of finding the right opportunity.
All the best with your job search!

Talent Match Manager
