About Include Now podcast

Evenbreak’s new podcast will see hosts, Adam Hyland and Josh Wright, sharing the mic with inclusion experts and employers. Include Now is a call to action, inspiring employers and listeners to join the movement for meaningful change in the workplace. Through this podcast, Evenbreak is elevating the conversation on disability inclusion, enabling individuals and organisations to create accessible and equitable environments globally.

Our goal for Include Now podcast

The Include Now podcast allows us to discuss what real inclusion looks like in workplaces and society worldwide. All our podcast episode topics are related to different aspects of disability inclusion. This could cover everything from inclusive e-learning to creating inclusive recruitment processes.

In every episode, we will feature one or two different guests, who are expert speakers and/or inclusive employers. Each episode will be themed e.g. “How do we support mental health at work”.

We intend for the podcast to be professional as well as fun and real. This includes having important conversations and not backing away from difficult topics. At the same time, we create a space for our team and guests to enjoy themselves.

This podcast is developed by the community for the community in an effort to spark conversations that matter around the globe."

Meghan Reed, Head of Training and Consultancy shared her perspective. “We wanted to launch Include Now both as a statement of action, to encourage organisations to make change today to better include disabled colleagues, and as a space to connect our community directly with employers and new voices in disability inclusion. My role in the podcast is to produce each episode and make sure each episode has a clear message and call to action for employers to implement. I am behind the scenes doing research, ensuring we line up fantastic guests, co-writing questions and making sure that the hosts and guests feel confident and prepared.”

What the podcast hosts say…

Adam Hyland, Cheif Inclusion Officer: “My role in the Podcast is to host the first part of the podcast and create a space where we can have authentic conversations about inclusion and challenge a lot of society’s outdated understandings and celebrate best practice. We have such an exciting line-up of guests who are champions of inclusion in their own fields. These guests have already changed society and the workplace for the better and represent some of the biggest and best movements and organisations in the world.”

Josh Wright, Candidate and Partnership Coordinator: “The part I’m most excited about is the opportunity to learn about a variety of topics and how inclusion is embedded into those. To have educational, informative but also fun conversations with people who are well versed in their fields to teach our community (including me) about how we can… well, Include Now!“

Our podcast approach

We want Include Now to raise the bar for inclusive podcast practice. With this in mind, Include Now will be available in multiple formats, including; on Spotify in audio-first format; and on YouTube audio/video format with British Sign Language interpretation, captions and descriptive transcript. An audio description guide to our podcast set will also be available via YouTube.

So, what I idolise is values and personality traits."
