#WeAreEqualTalent campaign launched to champion disabled candidates

We Are Equal Talent is a campaign designed to give disabled job seekers a platform to have their voices heard by employers. We don’t often get to see portrayals of disabled people successfully finding meaningful jobs and thriving in them. We want that to change!

According to gov.uk, 20% (or 8.4 million people) of the working age (16-64) population reported that they were disabled between October-December 2020. Yet employers are struggling to recruit, so now is the time to put talent first. People with disabilities are capable, unique and job-ready.

Jane Hatton, CEO of Evenbreak, said:Workplaces should reflect society and employers need to put talent first and remove barriers”.

How to get involved:

We are inviting disabled people to share their experiences and message with employers. To take part in our campaign simply, record a video or write a message and share on social media with the hashtag #WeAreEqualTalent.
